Responsible for data and system analysis of issues and functionality for a proprietary healthcare system including file transmission, eligibility, claims and other functional capabilities of the system. Responsible managing intake, triage, research, resolution and communication across development teams and internal business partners. Primary duties may include, but are not limited to: Issue research and production support. Defines the standard operating procedures and processes related to the system and the functional, usability, reliability, performance and support requirements of a system. Serves as a business subject matter expert, and acts as a liaison between internal business partners and IT. Manages small projects to resolve issues identified with data or system processing. Provides the link between the technical and the business views of the system by ensuring that the technical solutions being developed will satisfy the needs of the business. Leads user acceptance testing of systems/applications, along with training and implementation support. Applies use of tools to define requirements and documentation. Provides analysis of efficiencies related to system enhancements/automation. Ø Requires BA/BS in computer science or information systems; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. Ø At least 4-5 years experience in an IT Production Support environment with clear background in troubleshooting issues and coordinating resolution and implementation of solutions. Ø Intermediate to expert knowledge of relational databases including experience with SQL required. Ø *At least 3-4 years experience in health care operations; Health care industry experience as well as knowledge of health care systems*. Ø Excellent analytical, PC and problem solving skills required. Ø Excellent oral, written and interpersonal skills required. Ø Strong verbal and written skills are required Proficient in MS Access, Excel, Project, PowerPoint, and Word. Ø Technical aptitude and the proven ability to learn and understand new software applications required. Ø Self driven and motivated to take on new responsibilities and achieve successful results on assigned tasks. Ø Very detail oriented with a strong ability to organize, manage, and track multiple projects simultaneously. Ø Ability to drive for results and the propensity to thoroughly research issues and proactively follow through to resolution. Ø Successful candidate will be a flexible, organized, team-oriented individual who is comfortable working independently in a dynamic environment. Ø Able to quickly analyze situations and alternatives and make prudent decisions.
