The Variable Compensation Technical Analyst is an essential member of the VC COE team that focuses on creating team capacity, increasing results through innovation, and providing advanced support to the team. The Technical Analyst will assist by providing on-going support for the VC COE’s current tool suite, CompStudio, MySC, and Synygy, which is used to calculate commissions for sales and other eligible employees. The Technical Analyst will also assist in deploying all GEHC plans for the Americas Region to the team’s next generation solution as well as implementing territory management, quota setting, reporting, and analytic modules. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:- •Drives success in variable incentive compensation by creating capacity for compensation analysts, while reducing errors through IT automation and tool deployment. •Provides exceptional support to the compensation analysts allowing them to be more productive, obtain results faster, communicate more effectively with the field, resolve disputes quicker, and boost the competitive spirit of the sales force, encouraging them to sell aggressively. •Fosters innovation driving enhancements of the variable compensation calculation engine (CompStudio), web portal (MySC), and third party solution (Synygy). •Participates in design enhancement reviews focused on ensuring the existing tools meets the needs of the variable compensation analysts. • Provides technical leadership in managing all information, software, and hardware for the Variable Compensation Team. •Leverages peers across GE Healthcare to provide best in class tools and support for existing variable compensation systems. Provides thought leadership, develops and applies subject matter expertise in sales force effectiveness via variable compensation tools. Leverages industry best in class and GE Best Practices. •Executes multiple priorities simultaneously, managing schedules, resources and deliverables. • Sets and meets aggressive commitments, demonstrating contributions tied to metrics and ROI from business cases. •Prepares realistic estimates of resource requirements and establishes software development plans instituting clear, practical timelines for accomplishing goals. •Builds rich applications and demonstrates an in-depth knowledge and expertise in the various Microsoft specialized technologies. •Uses Microsoft development tools, technologies, platforms, and the Windows operating system to develop and maintain leading-edge variable compensation applications, components, Web and back-end data services. •Designs, implements and administers Microsoft SQL Server databases in support of the variable compensation mission. •Standardizes workflow processes including source control and collaboration in a multi-developer environment. •Plans, deploys, supports, maintains and optimizes the variable compensation tool suite. Troubleshoots and provides support for the hardware and software operations within the variable compensation team and wider commercial organization. •Assists variable compensation technical and compensation analysts with data quality, reporting, variable compensation front-end data validation, data processing, data mining and analysis. •Performs ad-hoc responsibilities related to payment of variable compensation and leverages technical knowledge to streamline data integration, payment calculation and application development (internal engine and external web application). QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:- •Minimum two years specific healthcare industry or GE experience. Lean Six Sigma and commercial project management or IT experience preferred. •Bachelor's Degree in Software Engineering, Management Information Systems or equivalent experience. •Minimum 5 years work experience or 3 years as a developer using Microsoft .NET Technology. •Minimum 2 years experience as a developer of variable compensation systems. •Microsoft Certified as a Technology Specialist (MCTS), IT Professional (MCITP), Professional Developer (MCPD), Architect, Systems Engineers (MCSEs), Database Administrators (MCDBAs), Application Developers (MCADs), Solution Developers (MCSDs), Application Specialists (MCAS), Application Professionals (MCAP). •Proven interpersonal, communication (written and verbal), analytical and problem solving skills •Strong working knowledge of VB.NET, ASP.NET, SQL Server, Access, Excel. •You must be a self starter with superior communication skills and ability to take a task from requirements to deployment and support. •You must possess project leadership skills and demonstrate ability to gather and implement business requirements without excessive formal process/documentation. •Personality that works well and enjoys working directly with business users in an informal environment. •Must have the ability to work independently as well as with a team of other technical resources. •The person will join a team of two to three other technical resources and work a long side the business compensation analysts.
