Location: Sacramento, CA Length: 12-18 months *Responsibilities* The Monitoring Architect works under the general direction of the Infrastructure Manager to design, document, implement and maintain the Tivoli Monitoring stack of software. The individual is self-starting, works will with related architects and administrators and meets deadlines as negotiated. The individual will work both alone and in design sessions with other architects to design the final monitoring solution and will provide informal skills transfer to customer personnel and be able to articulate the design affirmatively to diverse groups. *Preferred Skills* • Experience with Tivoli Automation products a plus • Experience with Tivoli Provisioning products a plus • Experience with Tivoli Workload Manager a plus • Experience monitoring JVM performance is a plus • Experience with JMX based monitoring and instrumentation is a plus • Experience with AIX performance utilities such as nmon, sar, db2 top is a plus. *Required Skills* • Candidate must have excellent written and verbal skills • Must be able document and articulate to others key issues in his technical arena • Ability to work independently and solve major technical problems in their area of expertise • Ability to take the lead in problem solving and coordination of multi-disciplinary groups • Ability to drive problem resolution through vendor escalation channels for his product area • Ability lead and constructively participate in white board type design and review sessions • Ability to rapidly evaluate and learn new software products within the assigned system and network monitoring arena • Ability to contribute to the overall project design by understanding and communicating points of interface. • Ability to work with performance specialists to “tune” the monitoring environment for optimal operating efficiency *Technical Skills* • Demonstrated hands on working knowledge of Tivoli and Netcool monitoring products from IBM. • Must be able to design, articulate tradeoffs and best practices for Tivoli System Monitoring products and the related NetCool/Ominbus and Network Manager IP Edition product sets. • Demonstrated hands on working knowledge of the Tivoli monitoring tools in an AIX (preferred) or Unix environment, in large multiple server Data Center environment • Familiarity of Tivoli tools installed in a Windows environment. • Demonstrated knowledge of common Tivoli Monitoring infrastructure combined with Netcool Omnibus • Current implementation experience with 75 % of the following specific Tools: o IBM Tivoli Composite Application Manager for SOA platform o IBM Tivoli Composite Application Mgr for Transactions Web and Robotic Response o IBM Tivoli Composite Application Manager for Transactions Client Response o IBM Tivoli Composite Apps for Application Diagnostics o IBM Tivoli OMNIbus and Network Manager o IBM Tivoli Netcool Performance Manager -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "OracleD2K" group.
