I'm trying to make a CD that will boot up using my doubletalk LT. I have
successfully created a bootable diskette that puts me right into emacspeak
using the doubletalk for the synth. What I want to do next is save the
floppy image to disk, put it into the directory structure for the oralux
ISO, and then burn a new CD.
When I made the boot floppy, I used the command right out of the FAQ:
dd if=/cdrom/KNOPPIX/boot.img of=/dev/fd0 bs=18k
What is the significance of the bs=18k setting? Will I get a viable image
if I say this:
dd if=/dev/fd0 of=/oralux/boot.img bs=18k
I don't want to just try it because I don't want to waste too many platters.
