I found the problem. All languages should now have a correct zip file. From: Bertrand Le Roy [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Monday, May 09, 2011 2:26 PM To: [email protected] Cc: Kyoung Yoon Kim; Hyeon Choon Jang Subject: RE: Orchard localization package for Korean - final
What’s extremely curious is that this is only happening for Korean. It displays fine on the Web but the download is badly encoded. Still investigating. But as you did work on the online tool directly, you don’t need to concern yourself over encoding. It actually is one of the main reasons why I built the online tool. That the download is not Unicode is a bug that I will have to fix (that file is generated from what you typed in the tool). Thanks for the heads up. I appreciate your response. I mean, according to the previous email, I’d like to check “UTF-8 without BOM” issue on all Korean localization files. I have checked it by myself with “notepad++” for the UTF-8 file format, but I’d like to get confirmation it from you, all. Would you help this steps for us, please. Best regards. Fyi. Korean team processed the localization on http://orchardproject.net/Localize/ko-KR website, but when we download zipped “PO files” from there, below PO file was saved as ANSI format all the time. \Modules\Bing.Maps\App_Data\Localization\ko-KR\orchard.module.po From: Bertrand Le Roy [mailto:[email protected]]<mailto:[mailto:[email protected]]> Sent: Friday, May 06, 2011 4:14 PM To: [email protected]<mailto:[email protected]> Cc: Kyoung Yoon Kim; Hyeon Choon Jang Subject: RE: Orchard localization package for Korean - final Great, thanks, but I’m not sure I understand what kind of check you are asking for. With Korean OSS influencer, Korean team built whole Korean translation package for Orchard and submitted on below location. ko-KR - 한국어 (대한민국)<http://orchardproject.net/Localize/ko-KR>1812 translated strings out of 1812. http://orchardproject.net/Localize/ko-KR Well, I just checked the whole package sentence and it looks okay. Would you check anything wrong in the package to fix it out for Korean team? Best regards.
