Neal, David

I have used wine corks in wooden baskets for years. The corks are free, do
not decompose very fast and give extra surface to wet during watering that
keeps the humidity higher for a longer time. I also have some Vandas in wood
baskets with no mix. Many people have been successful with no baskets at
all, that works, if you can keep the humidity high. Just suspend the plant
from a hanger or wire and keep the humidity up.
