"BANGKOK, Oct 16 - Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra ... praised the 
country's success in a two-week-long ... meeting [13th Meeting of the 
Conference on Parties to the Convention on International Trade in 
Endangered Species of Wide Fauna and Flora (CITES)] ... saying Thailand's 
export in orchids would grow several folds, as several more commercially 
valuable plants have been regulated for global trade.

He said that each country had made a number of proposals either to 
safeguard some endangered species or to get them regulated for global trade.
