The derived name is female... so the specific epithet should be female.
Notice I said should, remember one of the quirks of nomenclature rules is
that even though concordance in gender is required, an author can mispell a
name and the name still be valid.
Thank you José. That is fully correct and I overlooked to make that comment.  A good example for that is my lapsus in
describing P. besseae var. flava. Of course it has to be "flavum". (Mea culpa).
