Hi Nancy, My understanding on natural-occurring hybrids is that the plant is considered just that, a hybrid, and would always be written in upper case. As for Vanda Motes Indigo, or any named plant, it doesn't matter in which order the parent names are written. However, if you wanted to know which parent plant produced the pod and which parent the pollen came from, the pod parent is listed first. Hope this helps. Subject: [OGD] two questions now To: orchid list Message-ID: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Content-Type: text/plain; charset=iso-8859-1 Hello - Last week I asked if the names of naturally-occuring hybrids are written with upper or lower case; any clues? Also, I have a plant labeled V. Fuch's Delight x Vanda coerulea; with the parents in the opposite order, this is Vanda Motes Indigo...I think it would have the same name either way, correct?
