No EJB, for reasons unrelated to orion we use our own module idea (like
ejb's) based on ideas we made years ago. We do store many objects this
way (3Mil) with no problems sofar. i do like the ejb model and think the
idea is sounds (not to do to much in servlets) but we need alot of
platforms and servers where we need to run our products on then ejb is
not a real option yet.

The software we run ontop of orion now is not simple by any account (not
just using it as a great webserver) it runs our edit/publish system that
we are now making opensource ready with help of a few company's and we
will announce it within a month to be released Q1. This is a 100k line
project so not just a simple servlet orion needs to handle :).
