Dear Stephen,
It is nice to hear from you. I have heard about this from several
sources
in Israel - and also heard the live TV Friday night news magazine report
on
it (broadcast on Israeli TV, which I pick up on my computer through the
radio). It is true that Itzik Magen found a number of jars (about 12-15,
I
understand) on the southeastern side of the settlement (near the
boundary
wall, I think). They did not contain scrolls; the soil or mineral matter
they contained is now being analyzed at the Weizmann Institute.
Feel free to pass this on - so far as I can tell, there is no real
concrete
information yet.
With best wishes, Jodi
