J2ME is not a "single platform" enough to say that OSGi will be available for J2ME. OSGi today seems to start at the CDC platform, which is most common for PDAs and Set-Top boxes but not in mobile phones or embedded electronics. Personally I strongly doubt that anything below CDC profile (i.e. CLDC and MIDP) will be targetted in the JSR-277, and that is IF device vendors are involved and vocal about support J2ME at all. There is always a possibility that a J2ME/JSR277 profile is defined, and can perhaps be pushed to device manufacturers. Cheers Niclas
