I noticed that you are running the 2.4.20-20.9smp kernel - that seems to be the updated kernel instead of the stock kernel that came with RedHat 9.0.
I believe that the recommended way of updating the kernel is to install Oscar first then update it - not sure if this is the problem exactly but you can try that route.
I looked at my /tftpboot/rpm and couldn't find the gm RPMs though.
