That is good news as we have 64+ opterons ready for installation.
I assume that this is a 32-bit install since 3.0 is not 64-bit ready.
File your findings as a bug report and then the group may decide how aggressive to go after this.
Since we are 3.0 tardy, i would not want to hold 3.0 much as we can always kick out a 3.1 quickly after. Jeremy is 3.x release manager, thus he has final call on this.

Currently I am running tests on our Opteron cluster with 3.0b6 and the only issue I have encountered is with the tg3 driver that shipped with systemimager. This could be easily fixed by using the patches provided by Frank Crawford (or could well be fixed in a later release of systemimager).
I haven't run into any other 'show-stopping' bugs as far as Opteron goes - I just think it would be cool if we can support Opterons out of the box.
