Is there anything wrong with the Qt-based windows?
Personally, I was never fond of the Perl-Tk stuff. Seemed pretty early-90's to me (like all of Tcl/Tk), but that's $0.02...

I know at some point in the past you guys did a review of the GUI code but I don't recall what the outcome was for that inquiry.
If we don't intend to use any of this code, then I'd agree that reverting
to strictly Tk code would be much easier to maintain. Well, one windowing
package would be easier to maintain than two, which ever we choose. ;)
