Hey Amit,
Yes!
How is is Configurator knowing to look here
"/opt/soc/trunk/packages/condor/configurator.html", is that your OSCAR_HOME
( /opt/soc/trunk ) ?
I don't see configurator checcking for packages in /var/lib/oscar/packages/
please see http://pastebin.ca/607801 for line numbers 19 and corresponding
output at 52.
From my experience Configurator first checks OSCAR_HOME/packages, IF it
finds your package it stays there, if it does not find you package it goes
to /var/lib/oscar/packages/ and checks there.
My packages are not in OSCAR_HOME/packages/ they are in
/var/lib/oscar/packages/ (via opd ) , I was also working from
OSCAR_HOME/packages/ and packages were fine there. it is this problem
working with opd.
I don't think it is suppost to check both as it is assuming the package
resides in either 1 or the other location. I could be wrong though. I had
some difficulty working with OPD and since I am mainly interested in testing
the package I just placed my code in /opt/oscar/packages and work from
there. That skips over the OPD, and allows me to work with my Configurator /
code debugging.
Good luck,
James

Hi all,
I am trying to move my packages to opd so that I do not work in
<oscar-root>/packages/<vdt-globus & condor> also testing for package move
to work with opd .
==Problem==
Configurator never shows up my packages which were downloaded via opd.
==========
I added some debug statements to Configbox.pm <http://configbox.pm/> and
found that configbox is stil looking for configurator.html file at
"/opt/soc/trunk/packages/condor/configurator.html " but it should "also
look" in /var/lib/oscar/packages/condor where actually opd is untarring it
I am putting things I see at http://pastebin.ca/607801 .
Package continued to work as usual but as if configurator has not been
invoked by user.
I have recreated the problem after removing all packages from
/var/lib/oscar/packages & <oscar root> &&& after regular "make test" &
downloading via opd;
any advice on this?
thanks Donglnn for again saving some extra hours here, this was my first
encounter with core code feeling good :)
