Another thing that would be nice to have is a mini PXE image that
returned hardware information (useful for presenting configuration
options). systemimager sort of has one already, but it does not return
enough hardware information in situ.

As for IB hardware... another option might be the IB simulator in
OFED... ibmgtsim?? I've poked at it, but have not really used it. I'm
not sure if it could be made to simulate a cluster in the context we
would need.
