I restarted rsyncd, but still same issue.
On my server node the internal NIC is eth1, and the nodes are using eth0, would that have anything to do with the problem

Are you installing from CVS? AFAIK, that's the only version of OSCAR that
has the new version of SI, which I think is the error message that you're
showing down below.
If this is the case, ensure that the rsyncd is started on the server.
There's a minor bug in the SI RPM in CVS (they're working on a fix) that
doesn't start the rsyncd server properly. If ps shows that it isn't
running, do the following:
/etc/rc.d/init.d/systemimager restart
