BTW Chris, if you update the system, you can try to run "oscar-config --startover" (this is one of the main changes for oscar-6.0.2). :-)
I will try to include a nice fix for the udev stuff based on Felipe's patch (should be simple, Felipe did a good job), that will have to wait that i go back home (on travel until the end of the week). I actually start to fix you can figure out where the problem is coming from... i will be happy to continue to investigate the problem and do my best to help you. Let me know if you have any problem, i will try to stay online as much as possible and be as reactive as possible. I'll let you know how it goes. Interesting comment by Felipe about udev; when I last did a test install of Fedora 10 on a 2-NIC box I couldn't keep either NIC up through the regular configs, and in the logs I noticed udev was swapping the names of eth0 and eth1 at one point. I had to force the NICs on after boot with a "service network start" in /etc/rc.d/rc.local/S99local... Anyway, I'll see how far we get this time. Fingers are crossed... If I encounter similar problems, I'll return to addressing your questions below. -Chris On Mon, 16 Feb 2009 geoffroy.val...@free.fr wrote: > Chris, > > Can you check if the systemconfigurator RPM is installed in your image?
