Alejandro, 1/ for what i know HA-OSCAR is working with OSCAR < 6.x. The new architecture should allow a simpler packaging on HA-OSCAR but i did not speak about that with Box (head of the HA-OSCAR project). For more details, feel free to contact Box directly (you can also CC me if you do so): http://www2.latech.edu/~box/ 2/ yes i did but not using only OSCAR, we did the installation based on homemade OSCAR packages & add-ons (not available yet). 3/ I really advice you to contact Box directly to get more information.
The port of HA-OSCAR to OSCAR-6.x should be an interesting project. ;-) Regards, ----- Mail Original ----- De: "Alejandro Z. Hello, my name is alejandro and i am from argentina. I am new to this list (first time writting) as i am to clusters and the linux world in general. In order to get my degree in computer science, i proposed a project wich implements a HA Linux Cluster and to develop a single app that shows its benefits. As far as i've read, my best option is HA-OSCAR, even with the drawback that it provides high availability only to the head node. my questions are the following: 1. has anyone made this work so far? and if so , using OSCAR 6.0.x and CentOS 5.2? 2. has anyone made a ha cluster at node level ? 3. is the oscar-ha project active? any help would be very usefull to me, i want to graduate! thank you very much.
