I cannot give a detailed list of all the modified files and it is not supposed to impact any officially supported Linux distribution. Since you did not send an patch for the support of SL5.5, the distribution is still not officially supported and therefore, i cannot guarantee that the update to 6.1.1 or any other update will not generate any problem.
