JAWAPAN yang sedemikian contoh dari seorang pegawai MDeC (yang saya cuba
ingin faham tetapi gagal) menyokong sebabnya saya memanggil untuk satu
pertubuhan bebas yang tidak perlu lagi merujuk atau mengemis dari
mana-mana institusi kerajaan. Izinkan saya petik dari kata-kata Dato
Salleh Majid semasa beliau tulis dalam Utusan Melayu tidak lama dahulu
tentang perjuangan kaum Bumiputra dibawah MEB (walaupun saya bukan Bumi
tetapi Cina Muslim). Masa itu saya bersarapan dengan beliau dan Dato
telah menguatkan tanggapannya bahawa SME Bank dan institusi lain
seumpamanya sebenarnya tidak membantu dalam semangat keusahawanan
Bumiputera tetapi lebih kepada menghalang. In his own words, "Get out of
our way" adalah baik bagi kaumnya sendiri.
MDeC sendiri yang berjanji untuk memberikan RM10 juta kepada aliran
sumber terbuka. Namun prosesnya tetap sama seolah tidak ada janji
tersebut. Masih perlu borang yang sama dan lama dan tidak ada borang
khas yang baru yang khusus untuk sumber terbuka. Perkara ini telah
disahkan oleh beberapa daripada kami di sini semasa kami cuba
mengutarakan perkara ini.
Tak apalah.. tak baik bergaduh sekiranya hilang bahasa. Cukuplah sekadar
saya tinggal dengan gesaan untuk menubuhkan sebuah pertubuhan tersebut.
Nanti sudah tertubuh, barulah kita boleh bermesyuarat dengan bebas,
tenang dan siuman dan menentukan resolusi yang bakal dikemukakan kepada
pihak kerajaan. Antara resolusinya akan saya bertanyakan peranan MDeC
yang sebenarnya.

haris! time and time again have we encourage you and your team mate to
see which is on the highest priority. now OSDC.my have funding and
proper bank account which i believe can sustain for a year or two.
make an executive decision where the importance of the community is
concern. stop asking of what people will say and start making it

fazli, you and your team mate has done a good job on MOSC2010 for a
newbiez and i believed next year around you will have more experience
to hand manage people and coordination. dont stop now or all your

on the RM10 Mil issue, since day 1 i did see any paper coming into
MDeC on proposing anything! now you talking c*ck what for lah? aiyooo
susah mau cakap ini macam bukan tada ajar suda ajar tapi tak mau paham
jugak.. huh...
after seeing hundred of email flying here and there, some more got
some email also from k-what ever shit apa suda jadi. sometimes people
forget that this is a government agencies which nowdays we are better
which we share a lots of information together. as i said before i be
more that happy to help if ONLY you help yourself. kan? kan?
ermmm. but it ok guys.. it was fun while it lasted maybe some how some
day our path come across together again. insyaAllah.

OSDC.MY have many are to focus and even better small community like fedora,
ubuntu, pcbsd, wordcamp, python, ruby, android, joomla, drupal, owasp or
other community not i lists here. What we can do is OSDC.MY just focus only
one to manage this all community and help them to organize small event and
mini-conf that required from community. My point is OSDC.MY just be part on

Just consider when i get this experience join the mainstream world 2 years

support and give commitment. BUT who are the person would take in-charge and

It need that person have enough abd good experience on Management,
Administration and of course Project Manager.
No need the Leader must have expert or master on OSS just noted they know
what is OSS about and can manage OSDC.MY from below to the top. I not denied
money will get involve on this but surely who are the people are dare to
take this challenge.
I think it time to make new AGM for OSDC.MY and please do it hotel or place
that people can come and raise any doubt and comment. Please give the good
critic rather then bad critic it only show we are like stone age. Are we
ready to have new AGM?

On event organising - MOSC2011 etc ... probably we can consider working /
partnering with an event management company.
On the OSDC.my or the legal process of setting up a Malaysian Open Source
Community association / group or whatsoever - certain process takes time and
i don't think this was the main topic / issue raised by Bro Haris in his
earlier posting. Original posting was on MOSC2011. Probably we should give
attention and focus on that first.

Dengan kenyataan terbaru saudara tadi, menunjukkan kepenatan yang
teramat untuk bergerak. Sekali lagi saya ingin membangkitkan soal
pendaftaran persatuan ini kerana kononnya dengan kejayaan OSDC.my diiktiraf
sebagai sebuah persatuan yang sah akan membolehkan ia menerima dana sokongan
daripada MDeC.
Dengan keadaan yang sebegini hampa, nampaknya kemungkinan itu semakin
jauh. Saya cukup tertunggu-tunggu pendaftaran tersebut kerana memang banyak
isu yang saya ingin bangkitkan menerusi wadah OSDC.my secara sah, bernas dan
rasmi. Antara lain, saya masih tertanya-tanya tentang kenyataan rasmi MDeC
tahun lepas mengenai peruntukan RM10 juta bagi sumber terbuka. Jawapan yang
saya terima hanyalah tohmahan dan kritikan yang tidak bersasas dengan
menggunakan nama MDeC. Saya merasakan nama baik dan perjuangan murni
rakan-rakan termasuk saya sendiri harus dipertahankan dan diteruskan dengan
natijah kesudahan yang baik.
Saya percaya banyak perkara kita sama boleh laksanakan tetapi tidak
perlulah saya memperjelaskan satu-persatu. Cukuplah setakat ini saya
menyatakan bahawa pendafataran OSDC.my yang dikatakan disokong oleh MDeC
telah menemui jalan buntu.
Saya merasakan telah tiba masanya kita teruskan perjuangan secara
berpersatuan yang sah dari segi undang-undang untuk membangkitkan isu-isu
berkaitan dan dasar-dasar kerajaan terhadap penggunaan sumber terbuka serta
potensinya untuk menjimatkan berbillion dollar secara tahunan.
Apa pendapat anda semua jikalau kita menubuhkan sebuah pertubuhan yang
lain yang bebas dan tidak terkongkong dengan MDeC atau mana-mana institusi
negara yang lain kerana jelas ia sebenarnya membantutkan pergerakan kita?
