FYI, Free and Open Source Software Conference (FrOSCon) takes place this year from August 20-21st in St. Augustine, Germany!
Topics FrOSCon intends to cover includes the whole field of Open Source and Free Software. FrOSCon is especially looking for contributions on the following topics: - DevOps - Tools and Process The DevOps movement is all about the relationship between developers and operations people. Besides questions of process and collaboration, tools from the areas of configuration management and monitoring play an important role. We are interested in both aspects of the movement. - Desktop Innovation 2011 is the year of GNOME 3 and Unity. And the other camps are not standing still either. What does the future of the free desktop look like? - "There is an app for that" Does the mobile revolution happen without Free Software and Open Source? We are interested in all aspects of Free Software on modern Smartphones and Tablets, not just the technical ones. - Finding new blood For many, working in or with Open Source projects has become "business as usual". And yet it has become even more important to spark young people's interest in the topic. How do Open Source projects deal with this, especially the well-established ones? Do you have information to share? Consider submitting a paper to FrOSCon; additional information can be found at : http://www.froscon.de/en/program/call-for-papers.html<blocked::http://www.froscon.de/en/program/call-for-papers.html>. Submissions will be accepted until May 23, 2011. Sorry we cannot cover your travel.
