> So anyone seeing clients asking for Linux support? The clean portability between Windows, Mac and Linux is a big selling point with some clients. Many people see that there is the possibility of a mass movement (*) to linux so knowing they are ready is a selling point for flash.
Well it was as of Flash 6. The fact that Macromedia managed to buck the trend and give progressively worse linux support for Flash 7 and Flash 8 has made Flash less attractive. Video kiosks is another area where linux is attractive: if you are rolling out 10 units then you don't care about paying for Windows licenses. But if you are rolling out 20,000 units suddenly linux is making you a lot of money. Darren *: Ease-of-use and the important apps are all as good as windows now. _______________________________________________ osflash mailing list [email protected] http://osflash.org/mailman/listinfo/osflash_osflash.org
