Isn't the creation of Flash players illegal? I know that creating a player it's illegal only if you have read the SWF Specs provided by macromedia, but then again how can you prove that all of your work is based on reverse engineering?

I don't think this is a possible way of going with current Flash performances. It have already think about it and concluded that it's not possible to write any reasonable debugger for Flash without some Debug Player support.
