Hi!

In general developers should think if they really want/need to  
obfuscate their Flash files. From the security perspective there is  
one very good reason to block especially obfuscated Flash files at  
content filters and firewalls: It could contain malicious data - if  
someone hides something it can only mean he want either attack my  
machine or my local network.

AS is meant to run client side. Therefor there should be a possibility  
to examine the code before execution, and if there's something fishy  
users/admins should rather block it since there is no reason I can  
think of where obfuscation is there for a good reason.

I know that some Flash devs think they need to protect their IP. But  
thats actually something that could cause a major rejection of Flash  
in general: The more people obfuscate the more Flash gets completely  
banned from major networks. I know of cases where it already happens.
