I tell them not to. I.e. please send the embedded assets in their
original format, or swf format, etc. Which is not ideal.

I'd be very interested in a tool that will turn a fla file into a text
(or xml, etc.) format so I can at least see what is inside. Is there
anything like that? (I'm not talking about editing fla files, just
looking inside them.)
