Hi,
An rpm is "packaged" installable file to be used with the rpm
program that comes with some linux distro's I think RPM means "Red Hat
Package Manager" so guessing that RH / Fedora have it, maybe some others.
To use rpm files you need to have a command line and do something like:
$ rpm -i mydownloadedpackage.rpm

I'm seeing that there might be a Linux release of Flash for the G1 and
when I try to download Flash to my G1 phone it gives two Linux
options- I'm sure I don't know how to handle the tar.gz version on the
phone with no known (to ME) G1 Tar/Gzip program, but what does the
".rpm" extension mean? Is that a possibly useable version? I'd still
not know how to install it and I know that this is not a G1 forum.
HERE, I'm just looking for open source Flash news regarding Flash
players on an pen source phone. Thanks.
