It's not possible. You would need to install any form of plugin to be
able to access the desktop canvas of the user without any plugin this is
impossible in Flash. Even for Adobe Connect you need to install a plugin
for Flash. You could consider writing a similar plugin like Adobe did.
Only there ain't much documentation about it form Adobe.
If you happen to find such plugin which is opensource or commercially
available, let me know :)
p.s. OSX comes out of the box with a VNC server which can easily enabled
via Preferences > Sharing > Screen Sharing. Implementing Remote Desktop
support probably is a bitch.
Hmm, maybe you could write a Java applet which does the remote desktop
stuff and then pass it along to Flash. Like the Java applet is running
something similar like the VNC server.

Hi Radsl,
thanks for your contribution but since FVNC needs to install a server
on the client is not a solution. Our client needs to target common
users on the internet, so we can rely in a solution that needs the
user has installed a VNC server to allow this control his desktop.
Anyway thanks for your email
Maybe someone out there knows other solution ?
Thanks
Carlos

Hi all!
I need a way to control remote desktops within a Flex
Application. I have a client with an ActiveX solution and we
want to change their collaborative applications to Flash RIA
(chats, video chats, etc...). The only show stopper is this
special functionality that I saw in Adobe Connect through a
special plugin developed by Adobe but from what I know,
there's no way to get it outside Adobe Connect.
Someone could point me to an Open Source solution? if
not...commercial maybe?
Thanks in advance
