How do you access the canvas of the computer from Flash then? As far as I know this is impossible.. without having any Adobe Connect like Flash plugin or some Java applet from Flash<>Java communication. Really would love to hear more about it. How you did it without any third party tools on the computer desktop which needs to be shared.

I’ve just developed a little part of a project called flash-desktop where you can share your desktop and take desktop control.

It works with red5 and java and you don’t need to install anything but only to go to a page url

You can put this application in a common flash platform videoconference.

    Hi all!

I need a way to control remote desktops within a Flex Application.
I have a client with an ActiveX solution and we want to change
their collaborative applications to Flash RIA (chats, video chats,
etc...). The only show stopper is this special functionality that
I saw in Adobe Connect through a special plugin developed by Adobe
but from what I know, there's no way to get it outside Adobe Connect.

Someone could point me to an Open Source solution? if
    not...commercial maybe?

    Thanks in advance

    Carlos Rovira
