Hi Andreas,

started firefox from a cygwin console with "export
OSG_NOTIFY_LEVEL=debug" and it tells me it cannot load the osgdb_ive.dll
plugin.

Perhaps it is because of the dependencies of the ive plugin on
OSG51-OSGSIM.DLL and OSG51-OSGTERRAIN.DLL. These are missing from your
xpi and I'm testing on a "osg-free" machine.
