Hi Roger, Robert,
Thanks for the responses. After following advice closer to the letter I
actually suspect I fluffed the config on the collada-dom dae project
(Difference between static lib and release 1.4). Anyway. It goes (and
after quite a while - popped my svn cherry too ;)
I can read-write with osgconv/osgviewer to and from osg (but not ive -
something about StateAttribute: BlendColor being unknown). A few little
warnings about the DOM being "unable to create an element type texture"
and and "unsupported element type: extra". I guess they are from the
3DSMax exporter I was using.
I guess there is some passing of external's paths to OSG's with the DAE
loader? I have to set OSG_FILE_PATH when going back to .DAE from .OSG
where the explicit path in the .OSG file would resolve them (no problem
with that though).
So excellent stuff. I am excited about Collada as an interchange format
and its great to see it happen in front of you.

I currently build against a fairly recent SVN checkout of collada. I had to
modify some of the 3rd party paths to get it to build, but nothing too
serious.
As far as the OSG plugin is concerned I modified the additional include
directories, and additional library search directories to point directly at
where I had the collada source installed. I have attached a copy of my VC7.1
project file for you to look at.
I have yet another version of daeWMaterials.cpp just about ready. I hope
this fixes the outstanding issues on windows path names without requiring
the collada people to change anything. I have attached this as well.
Roger
