Hi Neil,
While I'm certainly not an expert I can probably field some n00b
questions and would be happy to spend some time doing so. In
addition as people learn about BUG, OSGi inevitably comes up. Having
a mailing list resource for general OSGi questions would be a great
developer resource.

Hi,
There doesn't seem to be a mailing list or forum for newbies to get
general help with OSGi programming that is not specific to any
particular OSGi implementation. For example I have today received a
question by email as follows: "can I access a service through some
kind of static method rather than an instance of BundleContext".
Yes, we all know this is a wrong-headed question, but newbies to
OSGi are going to have questions like this, and they need a safe
and welcoming place to ask them and get answers.
This list is clearly not the right forum. Might I suggest creating
an "osgi-users" mailing list? Of course we would also need some
OSGi experts who are prepared to subscribe to the list and spend a
little time answering questions.
Regards,
Neil
