President Ahmadinejad : Unity of world Muslims foil enemy plots

Iran-Indonesia-President 
Visiting Speaker of Indonesia's House of Representatives Agung Laksono
conferred here Monday with President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad on issues of mutual
interests. 

At the meeting, President Ahmadinejad said the the Islamic countries have no
other alternative but to forge unity, cooperation and coordination to foil
plots being hatched by their enemies. 
According to the Press Bureau of the Presidential Office, the president said
that the enemies of Muslim nations seek to disrupt tranquility and
independence of the Islamic countries, adding that those seeking to make
Iran insecure are now involved in similar action in Indonesia by supporting
terrorists and separatists to exert pressure on the Indonesian government. 
The global arrogance has monopolized science and technological now-how to
prevent other nations from making scientific progress, he said. 
Ahmadinejad added that the Iranian government and nation are determined to
acquire modern technological know-how and sciences such as peaceful
application of nuclear energy and to this end no one can prevent it from
attaining such a significant goal. 
Some believe that they can rule the whole world by relying on weapons, but
this can be achieved only through wisdom, faith and unity among other
nations, he pointed out. 
It is Iran's Islamic duty to support Indonesia to get a permanent seat at
the UN Security Council, he said adding that the two big countries with
large Muslim populations enjoy huge potentials which necessitate further
expansion of mutual cooperation mainly in the cultural sector. 
The Indonesian official, for his part, voiced the support of the Indonesian
government and nations for Iran's efforts to make peaceful use of nuclear
technology and said "We believe that it is the legitimate rights of every
nation to take advantage of peaceful nuclear technology." 
Exchange of visits between the two sides parliamentary officials would lead
to further expansion of economic, political and cultural ties between the
two countries, he said adding that the two countries have adopted identical
stands on many international issues such as campaign against terrorism. 
He also thanked for the humanitarian aid extended by the Iranian government
and nation for those affected by tsunami in Indonesia and also appreciated
Tehran's support for the territorial integrity of Indonesia. 
He described the Islamic Revolution in Iran as a turning point in
contemporary era which has left great impacts on Indonesia.
