Minister Kalfin: Binding of the Lockerby Case with Libya AIDS Case is Absurd 30 January 2007 | 14:55 | FOCUS News Agency Sofia. “The binding of the Libya IADS case with the Lockerby case is an absurd”, the Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivaylo Kalfin stated, FOCUS Agency reporter Announced. Kalfin added that there were no grounds for comparing the two cases. Answering a question whether our country will manage to use the moment with the interrogation of the Bulgarian nurses in order to hear the point-of-view of Bulgaria, Kalfin stated: “The court in Libya cares fro what they want to care about”. According to his words “the filling up of the relations with different cases from the main one in no case would help for the better approaching of the end of the case”. Kalfin pointed out that the future interrogation of the medics will have a negative effect on their psychology. “They must have enough courage in order to live through these additional interrogations”, he added. The Bulgarian foreign minister underlined that according to the Libyan authorities the tightening of the regime of the Bulgarian medics was due to the fact that there were abolished death sentences before 19th December 2006 and then they were confirmed and that suggested different regime. +++ -------------------------- Want to discuss this topic?
