Islamic Encyclopedia available online: Iran Wednesday, January 31, 2007 - ©2005 IranMania.com LONDON, January 31 (IranMania) - Islamic Encyclopedia Foundation has launched a website by offering nine volumes Islamic Encyclopedia online, Fars reported. Announcing this, chief editor of the website, Saeed Adalatnejad said at a news conference which was attended by the foundation’s deputy head for research affairs, Hassan Taromi-Rad that the board of trustees had focused on compiling an electronic version of the encyclopedia for a long time and the project was finally approved. Users can access the online version which has the capability of free saving, download as well as print, he said. Adalatnejad further stated, “We will make available the list of our works to be undertaken by the end of 2021 at the addresses www.daneshname.com and www.encyclopaediaislamica.com .“ So far nine volumes of the encyclopedia are available online and the tenth volume will be ready within a month, he said, adding that those interested can find their favorite articles in 12 categories of the encyclopedia by clicking on the search engine of the three-language site. On the periphery, a section has been designed to deal with news about the publication of religious and humanities encyclopedias throughout the world, he said. “Up to now, we used to publish the physical copies first and then prepare the electronic version but after the 11th volume, the trend changed.
