Palestine cause hinders peaceful Arabs-West coexistence - Italian official POL-ITALY-PALESTINE Palestine cause hinders peaceful Arabs-West coexistence - Italian official ROME, Feb 26 (KUNA) -- Italian deputy Foreign Minister Ugo Intini said on Monday the Palestinian cause was like a "thorn" obstructing peaceful coexistence between the Arab and western worlds, urging Europe to work on resolving such matter. Intini said, at the inauguration of the Euro-Med parliamentary session at the Italian Parliament today, that efforts should be exerted to overcome such obstacles, calling on Europe to play a vital and credible role in this respect. Intini urged the European Union to double efforts to reaching a partnership between the Arab and western worlds which are in dire need for a dialogue. He expressed hope the upcoming conference of Euro-Med education officials in Cairo next June would approve the establishment of an Euro-Med university, stressing at the same time his government's adherence to working on making a success the prospective Euro-Med conference on migration due to be held in Portugal next November.
