German TV show exposes terror plans
Published: April 30, 2007 at 11:24 AM BERLIN, April 30 (UPI) -- A terror scare is gripping Germany after a TV show exposed concrete attack plans. According to German news show "RTL aktuell," German security officials have "concrete evidence" of a terror attack in Germany, and some terrorists may already have arrived in the country. The show cited "reliable sources" from the German security circles and quoted August Hanning, the German deputy interior minister, as saying: "One of the scenarios that we are pursuing is that logistically, everything is prepared here, and then people from outside secretly travel to Germany to act out the attack and then immediately leave again." While Hanning said that Germans had to be prepared for attacks, they could rest assured that "we will do everything in our power to push that day back as long as possible."
