Hi Leon,
I like that the OSI website is going to be attended to. It is my
understanding that in February of 1998, Peggy put out an appeal for
assistance for the OSI site at tmn.com > I don't know what other response
she had, but I think Barry Owen stepped into the offer wonderfully, offering
to create a site from scratch "off-site" to address the critical concerns
you are now raising, and from there to move this creation over to the
tmn.com site. Complete with chat room capabilities and so on. When he was
here, OSI Canada supported him fully and are prepared to raise funds to
assist in a thorough site. If the time is NOW to get that all moving, all
the better. It is time, for sure. From the perspective of those gathered at
OSI Canada when we discussed the current OSI site, we recognized the hard
work that went in to it, the valuable information there, but the
disheartening effect of it being a US site with the balance almost looking
like satellites. I wish so very much that this could be overcome. For
example, even having the incorporation there, without it being clear that
only the US has this for the particular OSI doesn't feel good in the way it
is set. Much has happened over the years to correct for this type of
perception, but it still hasn't shaken the image. As for the other ideas you
have in your list, TERRIFIC!

Warmest regards,
Birgitt
