Francesca and I are planning an OST conference, and seek counsel from you who have facilitated a two-day event for 500 persons.
This is a statewide network of organizations which support school readiness and school success for young people. Two years ago a two-day conference (not OST) generated four priority theme recommendations for changes in public policy. This time, the desire is to upgrade the policy recommendations, plus encourage collaborative action commitments among organizations. If you had two full days, starting with a keynote speaker (!) and wishing such outcomes, how would you design it, based on your experience with a large group like this? We are thinking about theme, proceedings, prioritization, action planning, closure -- and need to be realistic about the time available.
