Dear Jeff, the largest os I have been involved in was with 280 people, still: I used to be pretty worried about keynote speakers, trying to get the sponsor to either do without or to ask the speaker to offer his topic as one of the issues and then let whoever wanted to go to his group... In the meantime, I have had great experience with keynote speakers under the condition that they keynote and the opening of the space through the sponsor is separated by a 20 minute break..that design seemed to even enhance the urge of the participants to get going. The other questions you are raising are topics for the sponsor and his planning group...the time restraints are part of the givens that the planning group needs to be made aware of with all the consequences. Greetings from Berlin michael
