Metanoia has a Greek origin and means "profound shift of mind" or
paradigm shift. It was repeatedly used by Paul to refer to his own
conversion. The word is used in English but is not included in
Dictionaries :-(

It has been largely used by the Italian sociologist Alberoni to refer
to the birth phase of all civilizational movements (as well to the birth
