I think we should resist resistance at all costs.  :)

Truly, I think we can think of ourselves as following a flow rather than
resisting a rock.  Tightly held notions and expectations create
resistance and interfere with surprises.

To answer your question..... I think someone else mentioned posting
topics at the first session, and then doing another brief opening each
time you meet to give people an opportunity to post additional topics.
A very nice "Yes, and...." kind of answer, seems to me.
