is evolution possible without consciousness??
That depends on how you define "evolution". I get the impression that among the folks who have written about this subject recently, there are different views on what you are actually talking about when you say "evolution". And maybe the same goes for "consciousness". I think consciousness in the sense of mindfulness is an important ingredient of, if not key to, taking humanity to the next step. But at the same time I have no idea what this next step will look like. I can only look back. The only evolution I can be conscious of is the evolution I see when I compare what happens today with what happened before. I cannot see what will happen tomorrow in the sense of the evolution of humanity. Some people have written great things about it (like Ken Wilber), but these are, however inspiring they may be, just philosophies and uncertain predictions and that is something else than consciousness.
