I regret that you find sharing information about an upcoming course a problem. If it is totally out of line, I apologize for the transgression. But in regards to your assumption that I only belong to the list for purposes of self-promotion, that is simply not the case. Please check the archives and you will see that I have been a contributor of some thoughtful contributions in the last year. And while you may not be aware of it, I have made it a habit to email list members personally with support and advice.
