Hi Franklin and all,

I would be carefull with Red / Green as it is a major colourblind combination. See http://colorfilter.wickline.org/ to figure out how a site looks for different colourblind combinations.

Thanks Michael.

I did the surfing and my observation is, especially with old computers, blue and gray is not very outstanding. Thus, I am suggesting, green and red. Anyway, I am not adept with computers. It is the color attrativeness that I was concerned. Thanks anyway, I was just hoping for that.

Best regards.

Franklin

    Dear Franklin,
my amazement grows or maybe, I dont understand your question.
    If you go to
    > http://www.openspaceworldmap.org/

you see a map of the world, full screen.
Those countries that os has been used in are a light blue.
The others, a very light gray.
Like in those old maps where not explored territories are always shown in white. Everytime os is introduced into a new country (now gray), I activate it and, flash, it turns light blue. Some of the countries are not easily seen because they are so small, such as Singapore, Netherland Antilles, etc. Use the zoom. Now, as you move your cursor across the world, the countries touched turn dark blue showing the name of the country. Try it for the Philippines (small, but if you know approximately, you will find it)...as you touch it, it turns dark blue, the name shows up followed by a bracket with a number in it (1). Thats you, by the way. If you then click, you get a list of the osnicks in that country, in the case of the Philippines its you. Clicking on your name, hey, there you are. Clicking on your picture, it enlarges showing you in all your beauty. You others out there, go search your country, if you find its gray, you aint included yourself yet. As you know, all you have to do is to follow my invitation and your country turns blue!
This mail is turning longish, so just one more thing.
First thing when I switch on my computer is to activate the map (my computer freak Daniel, look for him in Germany, has put two screens on my desk, so I can see the map and work on the emails on the other screen). When I write to someone as for instance right now to our os-friend Franklin, I activate his info box and look into his face, so this way I have both a wonderful view of a part of our community and am celebrating it. In case I forgot the country, I go to the SEARCH function in the MENU and enter the name.... And if I am in another city when the regular stammtisch date has arrived, I click on STAMMTISCHE in the MENU to see whether there is a stammtisch in the city where I am. If so, I contact the convener....
    Have a great day
    mmp

color(s) to a country so it would project distinctly the OS world? So
that, if
an additional country is added, you would ave more colors. Just thinking
aloud.
