Hello! I use OsmAnd+ for truck driving. I know that it is still considered experimental, but if no one ever gives feed back on this issue, there won't be any progress and this function will never leave this status.
The good news is: it is working extremely well! In fact, OsmAnd has not ever guided me into a road, that is not suited for trucks, eg. because of low bridges or weight limitations, while several other routing devices have done so, among them some very expensive ones! I also appreciate the announcing of street names, which is the best I have heard to far! >From my point of view, there's just one thing that needs to be fixed, and that's the travelling duration: you can not drive 161 kilometres in 1 hour and 41 minutes with a truck, not even on an empty German autobahn in the middle of the night! :) The app is in desperate need of the possibility to set the travelling speeds for each kind of road, and that's true for all modes, not only for trucks! -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Osmand" group.
