When travelling along a route, the portion you've already covered simply disappears from both the map and the elevation profile. Is there any way of having the entire route displayed, and then your location marker simply travels along it? I use OsmAnd and maps.me for cycle touring trips, and it would be very helpful to be able to see both:
A) where I am along my route for the day (half way, 1/3, 3/4, nearly finished, barely started...) and B) what sort of hills are coming up *and how do they compare to the hills I've climbed already today? * None of the apps I've tried will allow me to see the elevation profile of the entire route, only the part I haven't ridden yet. But for pacing purposes it would be really helpful to see the route behind me as well as what's coming up, so I can compare against some recent reference points. So, does anyone know if there's a setting that allows for the continued display of the part of the route / elevation profile that has already been covered? And if not, is there any possibility of that feature being added? Self-propelled travelers (hikers and cyclists) would be grateful. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Osmand" group.
