You are trying to have it both ways. You only accept the US cases that  
were successfully prosecuted in US courts. By that standard,  Saddam  
never killed anybody. I regard the fact that only enlisted soldiers  
and noncoms were prosecuted as an indictment of the US system, not a  
vindication of it.

Are you actually arguing that it's OK if life didn't  get any worse  
under US occupation? If you look back you will see that I actually  
didn't defend Saddam at all. I merely objected to your trivialization  
of US atrocities as making people "parade around in their underwear".  
That's like saying Pol Pot made people attend classes.

If you use google you can find plenty of people who *confess* to  
targeting civilians. And then there's Blackwater.

It wasn't "wrong": It was manipulated. The idea that US decision- 
makers were mislead by bad intelligence is just another non-fact put  
about by apologists for the war.

You can present all the arguments you want that the Iraqis are better  
off for our invasion but it is clear that except for the Kurds the  
Iraqis themselves don't believe it.
