The test would be to copy the DVDs to the hard-drive with FairMount  
first. I do this all the time as the DVD drive can get overly hot when  
its spinning for four hours solid. It's not good for the disks,  
especially when you decide to do an h264 Anamorphic dual-pass rip of  
Die Hard 4.0 (19 hours remaining on the first pass)
